I feel like such an amateur. I've been doing this for over 14 months now. This should not have been a big deal. I should have just nursed him at the table. I'm good at it. No one would have even noticed.
But I didn't. I was a coward. I nursed my baby in the bathroom. Ick.

Since breastfeeding didn't pan out for me I can't really comment. I can say that I think I would be one of the more modest breastfeeders and try to hide out. The bathroom is kinda gross, depending on where you are, but the baby himself didn't come into contact with anything---just you!
So don't worry about the baby.
You are lucky you can breastfeed and I'm just sorry you had to do it in a gross place.
We all second guess ourselves at times and later regret it. Next time, you'll have more confidence to stay put. Our society gives so many mixed messages about breastfeeding, which makes it very tough on moms no matter how comfortable they are with the process. I was never really able to shake that awkward feeling about nursing in public. Good for you for working to overcome it!
Please don't put youself down for feading in the bathroom. You are doing what you need to do, and that is all that matters. Keep up the good work. You are the queen of the house and don't forget it.
