Silly Haiku Wednesday - Parenting

Join the fun!

The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week's theme is: Parents or Parenting

Thought it'd be easy...
and I thought I wouldn't yell.
Parenting. It's tough!

I'm doing my best.
I'm giving it all I've got.
I hope that's enough!

Be sure to stop by You know...that Blog? for more Silly Haiku Wednesday!

Doing our best! That's all we can do, isn't it? Good job! (I'm following right back at you!)

Someone please stop me!
I'm eating all the pecans.
None left for our pie!

I love Haikus! May have to start this up on Wednesdays!

Great Haikus! I love that you thought you wouldn't yell, I'm sure it's tough but I'm also sure it will be worth it. Doing you best is exactly what's needed - keep it up.

Hope to see you next Wednesday.

Great way to vent frustrations, so many of us know these words well parenting is tough but so worth it and by the looks of those beautiful little ones of yours very worth it!

A-MEN! All we can do is our best, and then hope it's enough.

I dunno though... my teenager is being a bit of a hormonal challenge these days. Can I send her to military school for a few months?

Great haiku :D

You thought you wouldn't yell? You underestimated your children! ;)

If all parents gave their best and treated parting like a job, this would be a much better world.

In law school I learned that "mere words are no provocation" as a legal point.

Then I had kids and they became teens and one in particular can choose EXACTLY the right(wrong) words of provocation!

Sigh. Good for you that you WANT to do it the best you can. And I love the photo of Bubby...it looks like he is full of mischief!
