The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week's theme is: Aftermath
Christmas is over
and all the presents opened.
Did you recycle?
From last week alone,
Extra million tons of waste.
How's that aftermath?!

Now go on over to You know...that Blog? and add your Haiku to the list! You know you want to!

Yes, Mother! ;)
Actually, we use (and re-use, and fight over) gift bags that we store very carefully throughout the year, and the odd bits of paper that get used are few and far between. And of course everything gets recycled!
Have a very Happy New Year!!!
interesting - We usually save bows -
Our trash is burned in an incenerator that generates steam for business
