Bum Essentials Diaper and Wet Bag - A Review and Giveaway!

Next up in the Fluff the Bum Event are a few products from Bum Essentials: the Bumbino Diaper, the Bum Pad, and the Bum Bag.

The Bumbino Diaper is one size hybrid type diaper with snap adjustable rise. It fits babies from 10-34 pounds. With an aplix front closure, this is a diaper that daddy's will like.This hybrid diaper consists of a waterproof, microfleece-lined shell and a set of snap in organic bum pads (inserts).

This hybrid diaper is different than some of the others that I have tried. For one, it has the lined shell which ensures that only soft fabric is touching your baby's skin. What a nice feature for baby's comfort! Also, the insert only snaps in front. That makes it easy to snap out and replace with a dry one, instead of having to take the whole diaper off, remove the wet insert and snap a new one in. Makes changes much easier!

The Bum Pads come as a set with 2 sizes. This makes it a grow with me insert. The smaller pad for newborn use, and then it can be used as a doubler with the other pad for when you need extra absorbency.

The Classic Bum Pad is made of an organic cotton and bamboo blend which is super soft and has great absorbency. The Terry Towel Bum Pad is made from organic cotton and bamboo with a hint of polyester. The polyester makes it thin yet highly absorbent. This pad is very soft as well and is the thinner of the two available. Bamboo is such a great choice for inserts! It is absorbent and has natural antibacterial qualities. The Bumbino diaper comes with the Terry Towel Bum Pads.

Bum Essentials also has Bum Bags. These are wet bags and are available in 2 sizes and are offered in colors that match the diapers. They are also reversible. The small bag holds 3-5 diapers and are perfect for short day outings. The large bag fits most 8 gallon cans and are great for lining your diaper pail or for traveling.

These are such high quality bags! Since they are reversible you essentially have 2 layers of waterproof fabric. There's no leaking out of these bags! And with the locking toggle drawstring top, odors are kept where they belong, inside the bag.

I am very impressed with the quality of all of the products that Bum Essentials offers. They are all very well made and look like they will last a long time. The Bumbino Diaper fits nicely and offers a great trim fit with not much bulk at all! The Bum Pad inserts are very nice, very absorbent, and super soft. They must feel nice against Bubby's bum! I like how they snap only in the front and how the doubler snaps on to the insert. But what I like the most is that they do not leak!

This is a very nice diaper. It is very user friendly and it makes cloth diapering easy!

The Bumbino Diaper is priced at $19.99 each. If you used them as a single use diaper a stash of 24 that would last from birth to potty training would cost you $479.76. If you used it as a true hybrid where you replace the insert and reuse the shell, a stash of 8 diapers plus 16 additional inserts ($9.50 each) would cost $311.92  (Disposables on average cost $800 per year) What a great price!
