Krazy8Cat's Wool Dryer Balls - A Review and Giveaway!

So far in the Fluff the Bum Event we have covered what to use to wash your diapers. Now let’s talk about drying them. Once your diapers are washed you have a few options on how to dry them. You can hang them to dry inside, you can hang them outside and use the sun to bleach out any stains and disinfect them (called sunning), or you can throw them in the dryer. I primarily dry mine in the dryer. It’s easy and does not take long, especially when you use wool dryer balls.

What are wool dryer balls? They are wool balls that you throw in with your laundry to decrease drying time, soften clothes, and reduce static. You use them instead of using dryer sheets or fabric softener, which you should NEVER USE with cloth diapers.

I repeat, NEVER USE FABRIC SOFTENER or DRYER SHEETS on cloth diapers unless you want them to leak and repel like crazy.

Back to wool dryer balls...I found a great seller on Etsy that makes very nice felted wool dryer balls for a great price. Krazy8Cat's dryer balls are made of 100% solid wool and are hand felted using a combination of wet and needle felting techniques. The best thing is they are not made of yarn so they will not unravel. I actually bought some balls from another seller that were made of yarn and they did in fact unravel. These WILL NOT unravel and will last for many years!

These dryer balls are about the size of a baseball and solid! Not so hard that they would make a crazy racket in the dryer, but firm enough to bounce around and fluff your diapers. Yet they are soft enough for the kiddos to play toss with, and me not worry about them knocking each other out...or breaking stuff! In fact these wool balls make a great toy for a child, or even your dog or cat.

I am so glad I found Krazy8Cat. Her dryer balls are very nice quality and priced the way I like. A set of 3 dryer balls sells for $15. With all the energy you can save using them, these balls will pay for themselves in no time. Now that's what I consider Eco-Cheap!
