Nifty Nappy PeachyKeen One Size Pocket - A Review and Giveaway!

Next up in the Fluff the Bum Event is the PeachyKeen Diaper by Nifty Nappy.

The PeachyKeen Diaper is a one size pocket diaper that fits from 7-35 pounds. What makes this one size diaper different than all the others is that instead of having snaps on the front to adjust the rise, you fold it down or under. Also, instead of having a PUL waterproof outer, it has a cute knit or flannel print outer with a hidden PUL layer. The inner is a very soft fleece which keeps baby's bum dry and the front snaps and shape of the "arms" hug the baby nicely and enable a very good fit. With enclosed elastic around the legs, there's no worry about irritation. There is also elastic in the back which helps with the fit, and it helps keep messes in.

 The PeachyKeen comes with a very absorbent insert made with a layer of organic hemp fleece and a layer of organic bamboo velour. Both fabrics are naturally antibacterial and anti-microbial. The insert is sewn in "fortune cookie" fashion which makes it easy to wash and quick to dry, and gives you a total of 6 absorbent layers. That is one thirsty insert, especially after you wash it the recommended 5 times before use. Why 5 times? That's what I said. Hemp contains oils from the manufacturing process, so to remove the oils and attain maximum absorbency you must wash them repeatedly before use. I couldn't wait to get this diaper on Bubby so I skipped a couple of washes, and got a little leaking. I must stress that you should wash it the recommended times first! After I washed it a couple more times, NO LEAKS!

I have to say that I LOVE this diaper! It comes in so many cute prints, which is fun, but mostly I love the fit. I LOVE THE FIT! I'd have to say this is one of the best fitting diapers that I have tried. There is no bum sag and it fits really trim because it is designed to fit under the belly.

One of my favorite features of the PeachyKeen are the snaps. There are 4 snaps on each side which means there is no wing droop at all. It really makes this diaper fit well! Did I already say how much I liked the fit of this diaper?! I think Bubby likes it too!

The PeachyKeen One Size Diaper is priced at $22 each. A stash of 24 that would last from birth to potty training would cost you $528. (Disposables on average cost $800 per year)
