Mother's Day 2010

I still have a hard time believing that I am deserving of a Mother's Day celebration. It's not that I have a hard time believing I'm a mom, it's just that it feels like a day for my mom, my hubs' mom, and all other mom's, not me. But my husband and children helped me celebrate regardless! Yesterday, I spent the day with my family and was gifted with some very sweet gifts.

Cakes is old enough now to decide what she wanted to give me, so the hubs asked. And what did she get me?

Gardening gloves, so that mama can pick the vegetables!

Bubby got me...

An apron, so mama can cook! The boy likes to eat.

And the Hubs got me...

This necklace (Well, I actually picked it out while we were shopping)

and...

Two of these for the back patio.

What a nice Mother's Day! Mostly because I got to lounge in bed for a little bit and spend the day with my favorite people, but the gifts were nice too!

Do you feel weird celebrating yourself on Mother's Day? How did you spend your day?

Happy Mother's day! I don't feel weird about it at all! I loved yesterday! It was great. Saturday, we took my mom to dinner and yesterday we had brunch with the mil and then a shopping trip for me! So fun!

You deserve a special day!

Happy Mother's Day to you!! I had a great day....but it was actually alot of work! I always have a get-together at my house for my mom and MIL. So I do alot of cooking..which I love to do. It turned out wonderful and all the moms had a fun day! My hubby and kids bought me some very sweet gifts, and I loved just spending time with everyone :)

I just celebrated my first Mothers Day, so yes, it felt a bit weird to celebrate for me and not just for my Mom and MIL. My Mom even bought me a gift - that felt REALLY weird!

It was so nice to be celebrated though, and even better to celebrate the opportunity to be a Mom!

My mom still wants me to visit her on Mother's day, so we spent the day running instead of relaxing. But I know I won't always have her, so I enjoy the time I do have with her!
