The Light

This Haiku is dedicated to my friend Katie Granju. Her eldest child, Henry, passed away May 31st, and her new baby girl, Georgia, was born June 27th.

Grieving for his loss
Took you down roads way too dark
Thinking there's no light

Blinded by sadness
Embraced by your great sorrow
 Unable to move

You'll never forget
He will never forget you
Always - Forever

Then there is a light
And just like that you can see
Shine, sweet Georgia, shine

The grip has loosened
The road illuminated
Able to move now

Now go on over to You know...that Blog? and add your Haiku to the list! You know you want to!
