THE Creepy Crawler

So, here it is...
I got several comments from my friends on Facebook that had me wondering if the bug that fell from the ceiling, onto my neck *SHUDDER* was in fact a poison injecting, biting centipede. I had the hubby dig it out of the garbage bin so I could get a better look at it. Looks dead doesn't it. Well, it wasn't! Every time I touched it (with a knife, NOT my finger) it's legs moved. My skin is crawling just thinking about it! That thing fell from the ceiling and landed ON MY NECK while I was asleep! Do you see the pincher things?!

So what do you think? Is it a harmful or harmless centipede?

GROOOSSSS! my skin is crawling and my foot is pounding just looking at this!

Last year, I was bitten by a centipede on my foot and it was the most painful bite EVER. More painful than a wasp attack or child birth. Its an intense-pounding-shooting pain, and I would never wish it on anyone. With that said, you are so lucky it didnt bite you or your baby! Apparently they dont normally bite, they only do when they feel threatened. Also, they arent usually poisonous to an adult but they can be to children AND their poision level depends on the size of the sucker. Usually the bigger they are, the more punch they pack.
Ive read that they like to hide in moist dark corners/holes. Go around the perimeter of home and plug up any holes/crevices that creepy crawlers may crawl into.

This is going to give me nightmares...seriously! Once upon a time, there was a centipede that lived in the drain in my sink, and he kept reemerging no matter how many times I poured scalding hot water down his home. Finally one day I'd had enough and took a knife and cut him in two. And both parts of him began to move in opposite directions! To this day, I still get chills thinking about that! :(
