Seeking Justice for Henry

On May 31st of last year, a much loved 18 year old boy named Henry Louis Granju lost his fight against drug addiction. His death has been treated as an "accidental" overdose by the local authorities, but his mama, well known blogger Katie Granju, has evidence to believe that it was no accident. Today she announced that she will no longer be silenced and will be disclosing what she knows, and what the local authorities have ignored, over the last nine months since Henry's death.

Katie needs our support. Let's help her get justice for Henry. Tell everyone you know. Post it on Facebook, tweet about it, blog about it, email the link, just get it out there for everyone to see. Hopefully the authorities will finally listen to Henry's mama.

Girl's Best Friends

No, I'm not talking diamonds...although I'm sure one day she'll think so. I'm talking about my daughter, Cakes, and our dogs, our oldest dog, Lex, in particular.

As you can see from the pictures above, Bits isn't the only "Best Friend". There are actually four best friends...

and none are excused from some dress up fun!

Almost five years ago we brought home our Cakes, our first child. The dogs were completely and utterly freaked out by her presence. Within a few days, they settled down and realized she was here to stay, and welcomed her to the pack.

They are good dogs, and we are lucky to have them. And even though they suffer some "abuse", I think they are pretty happy to put up with their best friend!

I'm back!

I can't believe my last post was in September! Where does the time go???

Life takes over...

and my life - my husband, my kids, and my job
take priority over this blog.

I was losing sleep and stressing over how I was going to get everything done that needed to be done. I was running myself ragged. I was being pulled in way too many directions, so the blog had to take a back seat.

But now I'm back!

I've been thinking about it for a while and I'm jumping back in. Well, perhaps I'm just sticking in a toe right now. I will post when I have a moment or two and feel like I have something to share...a funny thing one of the kids does or says (which happens frequently), a cute picture, a great money saving and/or eco tip, something that makes my life easier, or whatever.

There are no rules...

other than, this is my blog, for fun and sharing, and perhaps to promote a product that I like, that I think you'd like too.

But no more pressure to blog often, or do a ton of reviews and giveaways (because, those take a lot of time and effort). I have enough other obligations to take care of, other more important things to tend to.

My life is my priority and

Nothing is more important than my family!

It's nice to be back.
