That is fantastic! I wish we had a recycling service like that here. Living out in the country means I have to sort and take it to the recycling center. My sister in law does that with their garbage and I salute her for it - it is hard work with a family of 6!

I like that your service does mixed paper as well. Our garbage service says it's "One Big Bin" for garbage and recycling, but they won't recycle anything that is dirty, and since everyone's garbage goes in the same place, how can it not get dirty?

So we stash it away and I take it to the recycling center at the dump every week. Fun stuff!

Wow, I can't get past the fact that you have to pay extra for recycling services!

We have great recycling programs here (Ontario, Canada) - and it has developed to the point where we have recycling pick up weekly, and GARBAGE pick up every other week! Green bins are for "wet" waste - compostable stuff. Blue and grey bins are for plastic, paper, metals, etc. The only thing we aren't allowed to put in there, essentially, is styrofoam and anything hazardous. Most stationery stores have battery and cell phone recycling programs, and all the larger grocers have bag recycling bins (not that I ever use plastic bags anymore)

We literally have a single garbage bag for 4 people over a 2 week period, and I bet you anything if we went through it all we'd have a lot less than that.

I love being green!

I'm jealous, we have very limited recycling in my town and I have to save a lot of it for other towns around us.
